Avalanche in Uttarakhand; 32 workers rescued, officials say

Reports say that 32 workers have been rescued after a heavy avalanche hit Uttarakhand's Chamoli district. The workers were involved in road construction when the avalanche hit. A total of 57 workers were involved in the accident.

Reports are coming out that 32 of them have been rescued. It is said that 25 people are still trapped. Some of them are in critical condition. Rescue operations are currently underway for the workers. The accident took place near the Border Roads Organization camp, three kilometers from Badrinath Dham.

Joint rescue operations are underway in the region under the supervision of the State Disaster Response Force, National Disaster Response Force, district administration, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, and BRO teams. However, the weather is adversely affecting the rescue operations.
