Karur tragedy; CBI summons TVK president Vijay, asks him to appear at Delhi office

TVK president Vijay has been summoned by the CBI in the Karur disaster that shook Tamil Nadu. The notice has been issued to appear at the Delhi office on the 12th of this month. Earlier, the CBI had questioned TVK's general secretary and others. The CBI summons have been sent while discussions are underway regarding the next public meetings.

On September 27 last year, people who had come to participate in a TVK rally died in a stampede. 41 people died. Vijay had announced financial assistance in the Karur accident. Rs 20 lakh was given to the families of the deceased.
