Karikineth Silks Galleria; Allegedly cheating over 100 traders; KGDA files complaint

The closed Karikineth Silks Galleria in Adoor has been accused of cheating more than 100 wholesalers. The allegation was made by the Kerala Garments and Distributors Association. The KGDA is preparing to file a complaint against Karikineth Jose, the owner of Karikineth Silks Galleria.

The association alleges that Karikineth Jose, the owner of Karikineth Silks Galleria, closed the establishment after cheating more than 100 wholesalers. The association also alleges that Karikineth Jose secretly smuggled goods and sold them in Tamil Nadu without informing the workers or distributors.

The KGDA said in a news release that hundreds of ordinary small traders who are struggling to survive in this sector by selling land and taking various types of loans have lost crores of rupees due to this single incident.

The office bearers stated that the KGDA is starting a strong fight through fair protest and legal means to get back the money lost by its members and ensure justice for them. The association also stated that it will file strong complaints with the Chief Minister, other ministers, DGP and police officials.

The KGDA added that it will move forward with strong efforts to recover the money lost by our members by adopting all possible means. The Kerala Garments and Distributors Association has been the strength and voice of traders in the garment distribution sector in Kerala for the last 30 years.
