Triple murder rocks Lucknow, Navy official guns down three neighbours over parking issue in broad daylight

A triple murder took place in broad daylight in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow after a clash broke out between two groups over the parking of a vehicle. The incident occurred around 10:30 am on Monday in the Brahmani Tola locality of Naubasta, under the Saadatganj area, when an argument broke out between two groups over parking a car on a vacant plot.

The dispute escalated to the point where neighbour Rishabh Shukla allegedly opened fire, killing three people. The deceased have been identified as Shivaji Tiwari (65), his brother Shivendra Tiwari (55), who both died on the spot from gunshot wounds to the head, and Shivaji's son Suyash Tiwari (30), who later succumbed to his injuries.

Upon receiving information, police arrived at the scene and rushed the injured to the King George's Medical University (KGMU) Trauma Centre in critical condition, where Suyash also died. Another injured person, Shambhu, is currently reported to be in critical condition.

The accused, Rishabh Shukla, who works in the Navy, has been taken into custody and is being interrogated. Following the incident, a heavy police presence has been deployed in the area.

The pistol allegedly used in the crime and four empty cartridges were recovered from his possession.

Meanwhile, Suyash was to get married next month, and all preparations had been completed at home. The murder of three members of the same family has cast a pall of gloom over the household.

Police said they are registering a case under relevant sections of law based on a complaint from the victims' side, and further legal proceedings are underway. The law and order situation in the area is under control.
