27 Bangladeshis arrested in Kochi with fake Aadhaar cards. The Bangladeshi nationals, who were illegally staying and working in a house in Paravur, were arrested in a joint raid conducted by the Ernakulam Rural Police and the Anti-Terrorism Squad under the name of Operation Clean. The Ernakulam Rural Police said that a detailed investigation will be conducted into the incident.

It is reported that they were staying as out-of-state workers. About fifty people were taken into custody. Of these, 23 were released after it was identified that they were from other states. The inspection began at 12 o'clock last night. Some of those arrested have been living in Kerala for more than a year. Most of them are wage laborers. The police said that they will be produced in court after detailed interrogation.
