POCSO survivor dies after being beaten by boyfriend in Chottanikkara

A POCSO survivor who was beaten by her boyfriend in Chottanikkara, Kochi, died. The woman was found in a coma by her close relative on Sunday afternoon. The woman was the only one at home as her mother had gone to a wedding function. The woman was injured with a rope tied around her neck. She had injuries on her hands and head. The woman was lying half-naked.

The Chottanikkara police, relatives and public representatives then took her to the Tripunithura Government Hospital and then to the Ernakulam General Hospital, but she was shifted to a private hospital as her health condition was critical. The police have registered a case of rape and attempt to murder on the complaint of the woman's mother.
