Congress leader Sonia Gandhi admitted to hospital

Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to hospital. She was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi due to stomach-related ailments. Hospital authorities said her health condition is satisfactory. Sonia Gandhi is being monitored in the gastrointestinal department of the hospital.

The 78-year-old has been admitted to the hospital for the second time in ten days. Earlier, on June 7, Sonia Gandhi was admitted to the Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Naresh Chauhan, Principal Advisor to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, had said that she was brought for a routine health check-up due to minor health problems.

Sonia Gandhi was also admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi in February this year. That time too, she was admitted to the hospital due to stomach-related ailments.
