ED files chargesheet, says money was not delivered to BJP in Kodakara money laundering case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a chargesheet in the Kodakara money laundering case. The chargesheet, which the police have rejected, lists a total of 23 accused. The ED filed the chargesheet in the Kaloor PMLA court. The ED has rejected the state police's finding that the money was used for the BJP's election campaign in the state.

The ED has found that Dharmaraj, who had paid diver Shamjeer to buy the Thiruvathamkur Palace property in Alappuzha, had looted Rs 3.56 crore in Kodakara. Dharmaraj had produced documents regarding the source of the money. In addition to the stolen money recovered by the police, the ED had seized Rs 3 lakh and items worth Rs 8 lakh.
