Houthi military commander killed in Israeli strike; warning of retaliation
Yemen's Houthi military commander Mohammed al-Ghamari has reportedly been killed in an Israeli strike. The Houthis themselves have announced that al-Ghamari was killed in a series of Israeli strikes targeting their leaders. Reports are emerging that Mohammed al-Ghamari's 13-year-old son has also been killed.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz wrote in X that al-Ghamari died from injuries sustained in an attack in August. There were earlier reports that al-Ghamari was injured in the Israeli strike.
The Houthis have stated in a statement that the fight with the enemy is not over and that they will avenge what Israel has done.
