L2 Empuraan: Censor board cuts Empuraan during holidays, re-edited version from Monday

Following the protests, the Censor Board has given permission to cut three minutes of scenes from Mohanlal's film Empuraan. A re-edited version of the film will be screened in theaters from Monday. It is reported that the Central Censor Board intervened and asked to speed up the process after widespread complaints and protests. The producers themselves had asked the Censor Board to cut parts of the film.
In the context of this, the modification process was completed at the Censor Board headquarters in Chitranjali Studios, Thiruvananthapuram. It is noteworthy that the censoring and re-editing process was carried out despite it being a holiday. The scene in which a pregnant woman is raped in the film was removed. The name of the villain character in the film, Bajrangi, was changed.
The new name is Balraj. Protests and widespread complaints about the film were raised at the national level. RSS mouthpieces, including Mohanlal and Prithviraj, were criticized. Following this, the producers approached the Censor Board to cut parts from the film. With the urgent intervention of the Central Censor Board, re-editing was done on a holiday.
