Terrorism must be combated; Funding should be stopped; There should be no double standard; Prime Minister Modi to the countries of the world at the BRICS summit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the BRICS summit said that everyone should work with one mind to stop the financing of terrorism and there is a need for global collective effort to fight terrorism. There is no place for double standards in dealing with the menace of terrorism. Terrorism and its financial support must be strongly combated. This requires single-minded action. Strong action should also be taken against youths turning to terrorism. Modi also called for global regulations for cyber security and secure artificial intelligence.
He also said at the BRICS summit that we should work to prevent the youth of our country from going to such activities. Modi said that the UN convention against terrorism should be accepted. He also clarified that India does not support war but dialogue and diplomacy.
Modi said India supports dialogue and diplomacy and not war. He also shared the hope that the BRICS group can steer the world in the right direction. Modi announced India's position at a forum attended by leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Modi said that just as we overcome the Covid crisis together, we can create opportunities that will ensure a safe, sound and prosperous future for the coming generations. India is willing to accept new countries into BRICS. All decisions in this regard should be by consensus.
