Trump sues Wall Street Journal for defamation over pornographic photo gift

Trump has filed a defamation lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal for allegedly giving Republican leader Jeffrey Epstein a pornographic photo as a gift. The lawsuit seeks at least $10 billion in damages against the Wall Street Journal and its owners. The lawsuit claims that the gift was sent to Epstein for his 50th birthday in 2003.
The WSJ reported that the leather birthday present Epstein received contained a letter with Trump's name on it and notes from other famous people.
Trump has filed a defamation lawsuit in federal court in Florida against Dow Jones, media company News Corp., Rupert Murdoch and two WSJ reporters. He alleged that the defendants acted with malice and that it caused him significant financial and reputational damage.
He has denied the WSJ report outright and warned that he plans to sue Murdoch, the founder of News Corp. Dow Jones is the parent company of the newspaper and a division of News Corp.
Trump appeared in photos with Epstein several times at social events in the 1990s and early 2000s. In 2019, Trump told reporters that he had ended his relationship with Epstein before any legal issues emerged.
