Cooperatives Minister KN Rajanna said that 48 political activists, including central leaders, are in the honey trap in Karnataka. Rajanna said that there are MLAs from both the ruling and opposition parties in this, and that an attempt to honey trap him was also made. At the same time, he demanded in the assembly that the issue is not limited to any party and a high-level investigation is needed.
KN Rajanna said that MLAs from national parties are also victims of the honey trap. Rajanna said that the Karnataka honey trap has become a 'factory of CDs and pen drives'. KN Rajanna said that a special investigation is needed to find out who the producers and directors are behind this.
Meanwhile, Minister Satish Jarkiholi had revealed yesterday that there were two attempts to honey trap a minister. Soon after, Home Minister G Parameshwara announced that there would be a high-level investigation into this. BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal had alleged that the ruling party MLAs, including those in the honey trap, were being honey-trapped by someone who wanted to become the Chief Minister.
