'Air horns should be seized and destroyed using a road roller'; Kerala Minister KB Ganesh Kumar orders special drive

Minister KB Ganesh Kumar has ordered a special drive to seize air horns in vehicles in the state. The special drive will be held from the 13th to the 19th of this month. The transport department is preparing for strict action in the context of the increasing use of air horns in vehicles.

The minister's order states that the air horns seized through the special drive should be brought to the media and then destroyed using a road roller. The minister's order is against air horns, including those in buses. The use of air horns is widespread in various districts and the instructions are that officials should inspect through a special drive and take strict action.

Meanwhile, the minister had taken action in the incident of a private bus honking its horn at high speed during the inauguration of the Kothamangalam KSRTC bus terminal the other day. A private bus full of people was honking its air horn during the inauguration of the terminal. The minister instructed the RTO to cancel the permit of the bus. The minister had clarified that no violations of the law would be allowed.
