Dr. George P. Abraham, who performed the most kidney transplants in Kerala, was found dead. He was found hanging at his PG farmhouse in Nedumbassery, Thuruthissery last night. He is a senior surgeon in the kidney disease department at Lake Shore Hospital, Ernakulam.

He was with his brother and another person in the farmhouse until the evening of the previous day. Later, his brother and the person with him returned by night. Later that night, he was found dead.

The body has been shifted to Angamaly Little Flower Hospital. A postmortem will be conducted tomorrow. Dr. George P. Abraham has led about 25,000 kidney transplant surgeries.
