Israel Targets Hezbollah’s Financiers, Announces Imminent Strikes in Lebanon

The Israeli military has announced its intention to target Hezbollah's financial arm in Lebanon and has plans to carry out attacks on numerous locations in Beirut and other areas in the near future.

Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, a spokesperson for the Israeli military, stated that evacuation warnings will be issued for specific parts of Beirut. He also emphasized the need for individuals to steer clear of any sites associated with Hezbollah's financial activities.

The upcoming strikes will focus on al-Qard al-Hassan, as confirmed by a senior Israeli intelligence official. This registered nonprofit, which is sanctioned by the U.S. and Saudi Arabia, offers financial services and is utilized by ordinary Lebanese citizens.

According to the official, al-Qard al-Hassan serves as a unit within Hezbollah and is utilized to compensate operatives of the Iran-backed militant group and facilitate the procurement of weapons. The official spoke on condition of anonymity in accordance with army regulations.
