Marco: Theatrical version hits OTT; Producers explain reason for not releasing uncut version of 'Marco'

‘Marco’ is a film produced by Sharif Mohammed under the banner of Cubes Entertainments, written and directed by Haneef Adeni, and starring Unni Mukundan. The film, which hit theaters as a Christmas release, has collected more than 100 crores. The makers had earlier announced that the uncut version of the film would be released on OTT. However, the theatrical version of Marco is now streaming on OTT. This news is disappointing for fans who were waiting for the uncut version of the film to hit OTT.

The producers Cubes Entertainments announced in a post shared on social media that the uncut version was not released due to the fact that the Ministry of Broadcasting received several complaints. “We were planning to release the uncut version of Marco on OTT. However, due to various complaints from the Ministry of Broadcasting, we could not go ahead with that version. "As a responsible production company, we are committed to adhering to all regulatory guidelines for the film. Therefore, we are compelled to go ahead with the same theatrical version on OTT as well," the makers said on social media. Marco is streaming on Sony Liv.
