BRICS summit condemns Pahalgam terror attack; Narendra Modi thanks those who stood by India

The BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, condemned the Pahalgam terror attack. The BRICS summit member countries issued a joint declaration that they will not accept cross-border terrorism and will oppose providing shelter to terrorists. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the BRICS summit, thanked those who stood by India and said that the Pahalgam terror attack was an attack on humanity.
‘Terrorism is one of the biggest challenges facing humanity. India faced an inhumane terrorist attack in Pahalgam. If any country supports terrorism directly or indirectly, it will have to pay a heavy price. There should be no hesitation in imposing sanctions on terrorists. The victims of terrorism and its supporters cannot be seen as the same. Condemning terrorism should be our principle,' said Narendra Modi.
The BRICS resolution called for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza. The BRICS also criticized Israel's attack on Gaza. It also condemned the military actions of Israel and the United States against Iran. The BRICS leaders also alleged that US President Donald Trump's import tariffs will harm the global economy. China and Russia demanded greater participation in the UN for India and Brazil.
