For the first time in history; Women officers to provide security for the Prime Minister, Modi's social media is also being managed by women today

Women security personnel are providing security to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on International Women's Day. The Gujarat Police has appointed women security personnel for the Prime Minister. 2,300 women security personnel have been appointed for this purpose. The Prime Minister's official social media handles will also be managed by the selected women today.
Out of the 2,300, there will be 87 sub-inspectors, 61 police inspectors, 16 deputy superintendents of police, five SPs, one inspector general of police and one additional DGP rank officer. Officials have also informed that Gujarat Home Secretary Nipuna Toravane will oversee the security arrangements.
On the occasion of Women's Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan in Navsari, Gujarat today. Through this, Modi will announce financial assistance of Rs 450 crore for women entrepreneurial groups. Later, Modi will interact with 10 selected women entrepreneurs. The women security personnel are providing security at this event.
"On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Gujarat Police is deputing women security officers for the Prime Minister. This is a first in the history of India. Women police officers will handle the entire security arrangements from the Prime Minister's arrival at the helipad in Vansi Borsi village in Navsari to the venue of the event," said Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi.
