Big twist in honeymoon tragedy; Husband killed by hired killers hired by wife; Police unravel

A major breakthrough in the case of a man who went missing during his honeymoon in Meghalaya. The missing wife of Raja Raghuvanshi, a native of Indore, who was found dead in a gorge in Meghalaya, has been arrested by the police from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh. DGP I Nongrang said that his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi had arranged for hitmen to kill her husband during their honeymoon in Meghalaya.
Sonam surrendered before the police in Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, the DGP also informed that three other killers were arrested in raids conducted at night. One was arrested from UP. The other two accused were arrested by the SIT from Indore. The arrested accused told the police that their wife hired them to kill Raghuvanshi.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma congratulated the police for solving the case. “Meghalaya police have found the accused in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case within 7 days. 3 accused from Madhya Pradesh have been arrested, the woman has surrendered, the operation to catch one more assailant is still going on... The police have done everything well,” he told X Post.
Sonam Raghuvanshi called her brother Govind late last night to inform him that she was in UP. Sonam was arrested from a restaurant in Ghazipur. She was then taken to a hospital for a medical check-up.
The couple, who had come from Indore on their honeymoon, went missing from Meghalaya’s Sohra area on May 23. A tourist guide had informed the police that they had been seen with three men before they went missing. On June 2, Raja’s body was found in a gorge near the Veesavdong waterfall. A gold ring and a necklace were missing from the body, which strengthened the suspicion that he had been murdered.
A day later, a blood-stained machete was found nearby. Two days later, a raincoat similar to the one used by the couple was found in the village of Maukma. While the search was on for Sonam, another CCTV footage from a homestay showed her wearing a similar raincoat.
The scooter the newlyweds had rented was found in Sohrarim, several kilometres from the parking lot in Maulakhiyat. The keys were still in the vehicle.
