17-member technical team in British Airbus 400 arrives in Thiruvananthapuram; F-35B fighter jet moved to hangar after weeks

A British team has arrived in Thiruvananthapuram to inspect Britain's F-35B fighter jet, which was grounded on June 14 following a malfunction. The 17-member technical team arrived in Thiruvananthapuram in a British Air Force transport aircraft, Airbus 400. The British engineers arrived at 12.45 pm on Sunday. The British Royal Air Force's A400 aircraft will return today. The engineers will remain here.
As part of standard protocol, a team of UK engineers arrived at Thiruvananthapuram airport to carry out a detailed inspection of the stranded aircraft and assess its ability to fly. The aircraft was moved to the hangar after UK authorities accepted an offer to provide space at the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility for British Royal Jets on Sunday. The UK thanked the Indian authorities and airport authorities for their continued support and cooperation, the British High Commissioner said in a statement.
If the fault is not resolved, the F-35B will be removed from the wing and transported to the UK on a transport aircraft. The F-35B fighter jet, which took off from a British Navy aircraft carrier that was traveling in the Indo-Pacific region, landed in Thiruvananthapuram on June 14 after running out of fuel. Following the emergency landing, the aircraft's hydraulic system malfunctioned. Two engineers from the aircraft carrier arrived in the helicopter, but were unable to fix the problem. The pilot, who was sitting next to the aircraft on the first day, was a big topic of discussion. Later, the pilot returned to the helicopter that had come from the aircraft carrier to fix the problem. Officials from Britain remained at the airport.
The F-35 aircraft has stealth technology that can cut off the enemy's radar eyes. This aircraft is used by countries such as Israel, Britain, Japan, and South Korea. It is manufactured by the American company Lockheed Martin. After the aircraft landed in Kerala, the Kerala Tourism Department, including the Kerala Tourism Department, used Facebook in advertisements, which caused great curiosity in the world.
